Dr Vithu is a GP registrar based in Geelong. She grew up in New Zealand and completed her medical degree at the University of Otago, graduating with distinction. After completing her internship in New Zealand, she relocated to Melbourne to continue her medical training.
Dr Vithu has a broad range of hospital experience, having worked primarily at The Alfred, as well as undertaking locum roles across regional Victoria. Her clinical background includes Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Plastics and Burns, Intensive Care, and General Medicine. This diverse experience informs her holistic and thorough approach to patient care.
She is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Child Health through Western Sydney University, reflecting her strong interest in paediatric care. Dr Vithu also has interests in mental health, women’s health, and minor skin procedures. She values continuity of care and enjoys the opportunity general practice provides to support patients and families from various backgrounds across all stages of life.
Outside of work, Dr Vithu enjoys spending time with her young family, baking, and exploring all that Victoria has to offer.
