Geelong Medical & Health Group is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our nursing team across 4 clinic sites and 5 departments, including our medical centres, Qutis and Mentor.

This is a true casual position. Your hours will vary from week to week depending on the needs of our clinics and your availability. Shifts come up to cover sick leave, annual leave and extra demand, so this role suits a nurse who values flexibility but still wants regular opportunities to work.

About the role

You’ll be an integral part of our clinical team, providing high-quality, patient-centred care across our practices.

Depending on your experience and interests, your work may include:

• Chronic Disease Management and care planning
• Health assessments and preventative health
• Immunisations, including childhood and travel vaccinations
• ECGs, spirometry, audiograms and other clinical testing
• Assisting doctors with procedures, including lesion excisions and plastering
• Patient assessments and clinical support
• Sick and annual leave relief across our clinics

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Currently registered with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
• Passionate about providing excellent patient care
• Reliable, flexible and willing to pick up casual shifts when available
• Confident working independently and as part of a team
• Calm and able to prioritise in a busy clinical environment
• An excellent communicator with strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Able to multitask and adapt to different clinical settings
• Experienced in General Practice nursing, or keen to develop your GP nursing skills
• Comfortable using computer-based systems (experience with Best Practice is highly regarded)
• A Nurse Immuniser, or willing to obtain the qualification (highly regarded)
• Committed to a high standard of professionalism and patient service

Requirements: A current Working with Children Check and a Police Check are required.
